Intraoperative CT
For cranial and spinal neurosurgery, VISIUS Surgical Theatre features a multi-slice CT scanner that travels to the patient on demand to provide exquisite intraoperative images — without introducing additional risk to the patient — delivering real-time information to clinicians while preserving optimal surgical access and techniques.
Better Vision. More Precision.
With a floor rail-mounted CT and a radiolucent operating table, the VISIUS Surgical Theatre enables real-time images for diagnosis and preoperative planning, intraoperative procedures and postoperative assessment, which enhances the clinicians ability to make treatment decisions. With precision movement, the fully functional CT moves on demand to the patient, without compromising image quality or CT exam speed.
Intraoperative imaging without added risk
VISIUS Surgical Theatre provides clinicians with intraoperative CT imaging without added risk of patient transport — once positioned for surgery, the anesthetized patient is not moved for imaging. Further, anesthesia and patient monitoring remains safe and secure, and the sterility of surgical environment is maintained.
Maximizing Utilization
The mobility of the CT enables numerous room configurations to meet a hospital’s clinical requirements, from compact single-room intraoperative ORs to theatres that share the CT between two ORs. The CT can rest in a holding bay when not in use; alternatively, the CT can move between an OR and a diagnostic room, allowing the hospital to perform diagnostic scans when the CT is not in use for an intraoperative procedure.
