Integrated MR and angiography systems together

When an IMRIS Surgical Theatre is equipped with a ceiling-mounted intraoperative MR scanner and an integrated x-ray angiography system, it becomes the only OR in the world where patients can be scanned in the MR, treated percutaneously or surgically on the angio system, and scanned again in the MR to verify treatment — without ever leaving the table.

The ability to perform open surgical applications and catheter-based treatments in this ultimate hybrid environment creates opportunities for multiple departments to collaborate on its investment and to optimize its utilization. Within a single hybrid OR, physicians can use intraoperative MR imaging to visualize and assess soft tissue and anatomical structures, and transition seamlessly to fluoroscopy and x-ray angiography to view vessels and guide catheter and device placement.

Configured as a floor-mounted bi-plane or a ceiling mounted single-plane, the state-of-the-art angiography system combined in the MR environment is managed with safety and power systems for transitions between modalities.
